I learned that when filming and  your going to use natural light it takes more preparation than with studio lights. Picking the right camera for the job is a good start and there's no one size fits all camera. Use the sun for your back light and film during the "magic hour" if you film at the certain times it could change the entire look. You also need to pick the right location and at night use lighting like lamps and lit signs. Rehearsing over and over helps you get down that right shot and learn what you need to work on and fix.

I think the most important tip is rehearsing once you learn how to get the shot it makes a better film.

I think what really makes filming with natural light hard is that every day could be different and you might not have the same light as the day before.

Will it take longer to film in natural light than in a studio?
