I learned that for lord of the rings the hobbit they used a motion capture technique to make gollum and I also leaned motion capture is being developed increasingly and by many studios

I think this article is cool
I think it would be fun to be able to use that technique

I learned that the avengers movie was a big sucess.
I also learned that the directors writing skill was a factor why it did so well.

I think it would be better if producers gave more control over the story.
I  also think its just because DC and marvel were already big that the movies do so well.

even though they are branching off with other movies wont people start to get sick of them.

I also learned he made the movie kinda dark to help the characters develop.

this week I learned to use premiere and bring  the video to flash.

I learned they used food and conventional supplies to make the set and a ton of it
also that they were even making a stop motion spongebob cartoon.

I think its cool what their doing and brings back the techniques from the older shows to  the new generation.

I know as a kid I didnt like how the old stop motion looked but now it looks great and I like the idea of a stop motion spongebob

I learned their are glasses to help color blind people.
the glasses are coated in a formula to help remove shades and add color.
I learned there are multiple different color dificentices.

These galasses are cool I think they would be useful.
I also think that they are too expensive I would rather deal with being color blind than paying $600 to see color.

Is the price fair could they have a chance of not working why spend money if you dont really need to see color?

I learned that the director used normal cmaeras and cell phone cameras to create the effect he wanted.

The actors had to film them selfs and then show the director.

He based his movie on a real documentary he was doing about how 40% of sea life in the bay was dead.

I think what he did was really cool I wouldnt think of giving the extras and the actors cameras to film instead.

I think his risk paied off it looks like a cool movie.

How close is his movie to the actual thing its based off of?

This week I learned about rotoscope we will see how I do when the project comes up.

what made me happy this week is that I only need a little more sound then I'm done with my 2D short.

I learned the new mac doesnt have a optical drive.

I learned that only two models have one.

I also learned that apple stayed away from blu-ray.

I think they removed it because they want you to buy one as a separate part.

I learned that as a director you dont do much.

You talk to all the people working with your movie.

Dont tell the direct specifications just tell the mood or the feeling you want on the audiance as a director you are the story teller you could control the mood of the audiance.

This article had good advice you dont want to be over controlling.

As a director I think you should be involved from start to finish.

I learned that employers and collages were asking for social net work log ins.
also that a law was passed to make it illegal as well as Maryland  was the first to place a law like this.

I think most states should have a law like this.
I found this article interesting I had no idea collages and employers were asking for this information and is invasive to their privacy.

Why didn't all states immediately have or pass a law to stop this?

I learned to keep ideas that you passed wouldn't work they may come back up and be useful.
I also leaned that if it looks like its going to be a unsuccessful movie keep at it and you could get something great.
The third thing I learned is that try and fail works to help you learn and improve yourself.

I think the article was very informative. I also think that some of the articles tips were obvious and you should do them anyway to help your self.

1. I learned that frankinweenie was a live action short before it became a animation. I also learned that Tim Burton put alot of childhood memories into the movie I also learned they picked more amaturish animatiors for a certain effect like he explained with corpse bride it was too smooth and people thought it was computer generated

       

• I have to disagree with the article that black and white is good for the movie most people are so used to color thats probably what they want to see it in though I have to agree that stopmotion and models is great that you feel more interative with making the set and characters

I learned that LAIKA studios made the art for Coraline I also learned that it was made with stop motion as well as them using the same stop motion with paranorman and used 3D with them as well not to make pop out moments but to create a depth of Field I think that its cool to mix two different animation types like that and get a nice result to go along with it I agree with the artical that it would be cool to walk around a stop motion set and see what its like if you get the chance How long on average would it take to do one scene in stop motion?

I learned that this Friday was the 25th anniversary of star trek I also learned that they planned to make it into a TV series as well as accidentally making a model of pop culture today without anyone noticing I think its neat that movies get made into TV series it would be cool if avatar by james cameron was turned into a TV show I dont belive that star trek did too much for pop culture. When was star trek first released and how does it compare to todays movies and shows?

This week I learned from the Flash tutorial how to use the bone tool and mask which I find them both hard to use but fun In the future I definatly want to get to 3D animation I belive I would be better on that then flash What made me happy was that I started to get the principles of animation done , but what fustrated me about it was I have no idea what to do for follow through and overlapping animation

three things that I learned is that movies are being made into 3Djust for profits, not all 3D movies are better than the 2D also I learned that lighting is the hardest part of 3D

I didnt even know there was 3d printers for non coperation use
I learned these printers can sell at $350
I also learned people really want them their demand was dubble the amount they thought
I think making them more publicly avalible is a good idea
The price is good for that technology but needs to be cheaper
Is is possible to get one for the program it could be interesting
